Early signs of Spring are already showing and a glorious Easter week will be here before we know it. Like the awakening of Punxsutawney Phil, the Garth Committee (Rev. Catherine, Rick Hankinson, Celia Jernigan, Jack Blackburn and Bill Heizer) has not only awakened to shake off the winter doldrums, but has jumped into action. Phil may have retreated back to bed, but we didn’t! A maintenance “work party” to spruce up the Garth has already been held by the Committee members along with able help from David Poleski, Bobby Brock, Louise Heizer and Ken Wood. Take a look; you’ll be pleased to see how much has been done and more is in the works. The goal: Let the beauty of our consecrated, reverent Memorial Garth help make our Palm Sunday and Easter Week worship week be the glorious, celebratory occasion it rightfully should be!
