Our first monthly Laundry Love outing was a great success. We served about ten people in two hours, putting in the quarters for the washing machines and dryers. Most importantly, we had a good time actually talking to people who live near our church. Some had heard about our Laundry Love through their visits to Samaritan House, and others were just there, doing their weekly Saturday morning wash. They enjoyed a wrapped bakery treat and conversation while the washers hummed away. Thanks to Catherine+, Bob & Jane Bouton, and Betty Boesch who joined me (Margie Hankinson) for our first Laundry Love.
